Culture Health+

To support and celebrate Hull’s status as 2017 City of Culture, CHCP Foundation announced the launch of Culture Health+ grants between 2015 - 2017.

The grants were designed to give a kick start to cultural, arts based and creative activities that can also demonstrate a beneficial impact on the health of the local population.

The Culture Health+ programme was open to local voluntary and community organisations, charities and/or other not-for-profit organisations who can demonstrate their overall cultural aim and objectives and how they can be used to contribute towards improvements in the health and wellbeing of people living in Hull, East Riding and other areas where we deliver services.

The projects that have been supported by the CHCP Foundation promoted new ways of engaging communities in the arts. These have included; music and drama activities; cultural celebrations of diversity; creative and interactive arts based activities.

The funding was up to a maximum of £5,000 per per project, per year was available, with a total grant pot of £20,000 available for each year in the run up to 2017.
